L'HOTEL:
Location. Housed in four restored period buildings, the Hotel Dogan is located in the Kaleici old town area of central Antalya, a neighbourhood characterised by its narrow winding streets. There is a private beach 100 metres away and the hotel is 150 metres from the city centre.
Hotel Features. The hotel has a peaceful courtyard garden with a swimming pool, a children's pool and a jetted tub. The 24-hour front desk offers currency exchange and has a safe-deposit box, and there is complimentary valet parking available.
The hotel offers a half-board room rate which includes breakfast and dinner, and a complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Authentic Turkish dishes are served in the Garden Restaurant, while the indoor restaurant serves international fare. There is also a lobby bar and a poolside bar.
The hotel has meeting rooms for business guests.
Guestrooms.The 41 guestrooms at Hotel Dogan have traditional Ottoman decor and furnishings including Turkish rugs. All are equipped with climate control, ceiling fans, satellite television, wireless Internet access, designer toiletries, hair dryers and makeup mirrors.
Expert Tip.The hotel is in an ideal position for exploring old Antalya with its steep, narrow cobbled streets which lead up from the city's harbour. Look out for the fluted minaret at Yivli Minare Mosque, and the beautifully restored Church of Saint George.
