Expert Tip. The best way to pay your way in Russia is with cash. The rouble is the preferred currency, though dollars are accepted in some places. You can also change money in bureau de change, but be sure to ask how much commission is before making a transaction.

From Saint Petersburg Pulkovo International Airport (LED): Distance to Hotel Dosteovesky is 17 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The number 13 bus runs between terminal two's central office building and Moskovskaya metro station. The number 39 bus runs between terminal one and Moskovskaya metro station. A single ticket costs 7 RUB (0.20 USD). A shuttle bus connects the two terminals and continues to central Saint Petersburg. Taxis cost 917 RUB (35 USD) to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Saint Petersburg is best explored on foot, and most major attractions are located within walking distance of the city centre. Dosteoevskaya and Vladimirskaya metro stations are three metres from the hotel. Saint Petersburg has a comprehensive public transport network, including buses, trams, trolleys, and a metro. Shared taxis (Marshrutnoye taxis) travel across fixed routes and are reasonably priced.
