Set in lush gardens right on Sliema waterfront, the Fortina Hotel is an All-Inclusive resort hotel offering extensive spa services. The shops and cruise departure points in Sliema harbour are 400 metres away and the hotel is five kilometres from Valletta, Malta's walled capital city. Malta International Airport is eight kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 10 minutes. This seven-floor property features 190 air- conditioned guestrooms decorated in shades of cream and blue with maple wood furnishings and private balconies overlooking the gardens, or the city walls and the sea. Amenities include satellite TV, high-speed Internet access, direct-dial phones, tea and coffee making facilities and minibars restocked daily with complimentary wine, beer, water and soft drinks.
Guests of the Fortina Hotel can dine in the main buffet restaurant (all inclusive) and enjoy table d'hôte menus in four à la carte restaurants offering cuisine from China and Thailand, Italy, India, France and the Mediterranean. The hotel has four bars, including the cocktail bar which hosts live entertainment and dancing every evening. The four outdoor pools offer a complimentary sun bed and towel service as well as a spa tub; two of the saltwater swimming pools are situated right on the water's edge and offer views of the of Valletta, and one has a swim- up bar. There is also a pool and spa tub for children. The onsite Spa Centre offers a vast range of treatments and therapies including thalassotherapy, Thai and Chinese massages, Cleopatra milk baths, Turkish mud baths, light therapy, wraps, scrubs and a wealth of other beauty therapies (surcharges apply). Those feeling active can head to the fitness centre which offers a gym, aerobics, two pools and spa tub. The concentrated heated seawater pool has a high level of healing salt and minerals. Active guests can play mini-golf, or take part in pilates and yoga classes at the spa centre for individual or group sessions (surcharge applies). The hotel organizes scuba diving excursions, instruction and supervised dives (surcharge applies).
All-Inclusive - Rate includes the following:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main buffet restaurant, local beers and wines, spirits and cocktails, soft drinks, teas and coffees, snacks, resort fitness and recreation facilities, resort activities and entertainment, harbour cruise (year-round), full day boat trip to Comino including lunch (1 May to 31 October only), thalassotherapy treatments (maximum two pool treatments per day).

Taxi is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel and should cost approximately MTL 8 each way. The hotel can organise a limo transfer (surcharge applies). The resort of Sliema is easily explored on foot. Bus and taxi services operate locally and connect with other towns on the island. A hire car would be useful to get around.
