Hotel Features. The Lato Boutique Hotel is a modern, air-conditioned property situated in a prestigious quarter of the city overlooking the Mediterranean. The lobby is minimalist in style and features white, marble floors, black contemporary furniture and dramatic lighting. There is a steam room, hot tub and mini gym as well as a roof garden offering views of the old Venetian Fortress and the Cretan sea. Expert Tip. The long and sandy beach of Ammoudara is the closest beach to the Lato Boutique Hotel, five kilometres away. It's easily reached by bus or taxi from Heraklion. Although there are lots of hotels, beach bars and restaurants, it also has quieter areas, as well as a windsurfing school at the west end of the beach.

Distance to Lato Boutique Hotel is 4 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Buses and taxis wait in front of the airport terminal building. Buses 1 and 78 run to Heraklion city centre, stopping by the Archaeological Museum. Journey time is about 20 minutes, and the fare for a single ticket is under 1 EUR. Taxi fares should be about 8 EUR to the city centre and 13 EUR to the hotel. The fare should be negotiated prior to travelling. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Crete is best explored by car. Buses are inexpensive and depart frequently for destinations throughout the island. Crete's bus company KTEL connects to the larger cities and more remote areas. Many of the villages can be accessed by boat taxis and small ferries. Taxis wait at ranks around Heraklion city centre. Fares are reasonable but travellers should ensure the meter is used.
Driving directions. From the airport, drive along the only road from the airport, Ikarou Street.
Drive into the city centre and after approximately 4 kilometres at the top of the hill, turn right onto Bofor Street.
Drive for 150 metres when the road become Epimenidou Street.
The Lato Hotel is approximately 150 metres ahead.
