Set on the shore of Lake Kallavesi, five kilometers from the center of Kuopio, the Spa Hotel Rauhalahti is made up of several properties rolling down to the lake. The 106 apartments and guestrooms are bright and functional with cheerful furnishings and fabrics. In-room amenities include televisions with pay movies, Internet connections, radios, direct-dial phones, and minibars. Private bathrooms include hair dryers and bathrobes.
Guests can relax in the hot outdoor pool or enjoy the spa area, which includes several swimming pools, saunas, a steam bath, spa tub and water massage points. Three restaurants offer meals, and the main evening restaurant also hosts entertainment such as live music, Finnish evenings, and dancing. The closest airport is Kuopio; approximate driving time is 25 minutes and distance is 14 miles.

Taxis are available from outside the terminal building. The Finnair airport bus connects to the city center, from where local buses drive to the hotel; the bus stop is in front of the hotel. From the airport road, turn right (Joensuu-road) and head towards Kuopio. Turn left onto the main road (exit 5). Drive past the city center (road number 5) and about after 5 kilometres, turn right towards 'Jynkkä-Levänen'. Turn to the left and continue for 2 kilometres.
