Built in 1986, Scandic Aalborg is a low-rise hotel situated five kilometres from the centre of Aalborg in northern Denmark. The hotel's 110 guestrooms have wooden floors, matching modern wood furniture and patterned bedspreads. All include satellite television with pay movies, Internet connections, telephones, trouser presses, minibars and bathrooms with showers.
Energetic guests can work-out in the fitness room, enjoy a game of table tennis or make use of the jogging and roller skating tracks in the nearby countryside. Less active guests can relax in the sauna or top up their tans in the solarium which are both open 24-hours a day. International and Danish dishes are on offer in the restaurant, with its light, modern dining room decor and large windows with countryside views. Buses run from the airport to the city centre; journeys take approximately 15 minutes. The nearest bus and train stations are five kilometres from the hotel. Taxis and hire cars are also available from the airport.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the third exit off the roundabout onto Thistedvej; continue straight onto 55; take the first exit off the roundabout onto 11; continue straight onto 11; leave at junction 20 and join the E45; leave the E45 and continue straight ahead onto 507 / 595; take the fifth exit off the roundabout onto Hadsundvej.
