Location. The Montefiore Hotel is a modern, eight-storey property located in central Jerusalem, within two kilometres of a number of religious sites, including the Western Wailing Wall. Ben Gurion Tel Aviv Airport is 50 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of one hour.
Hotel Features. The Montefiore Hotel is a kosher property under the supervision of the Chief Rabbinate of Jerusalem. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk are on hand to provide room service (limited hours), exchange currency and arrange dry-cleaning services. Other onsite amenities include laundry facilities, babysitting services and a safe-deposit box.
The modern La Carossa restaurant is decorated in black and gold, complemented by soft lighting, and offers an a la carte menu of Italian dishes, while the Lobby Bar & Business Lounge serves drinks, snacks and light meals.
Guestrooms. The 47 guestrooms, spread over eight floors, are decorated and furnished in a contemporary style and offer quilted comforters and orthopaedic pillows. All come equipped with satellite television with pay movies, Internet connections (surcharge), direct-dial phones, minibars and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries.
Expert Tip. The Jaffa Gate is one of seven entrances to the historic Old City of Jerusalem. The Old City is home to the Western Wailing Wall, Temple Mount and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and has religious significance for Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Getting there. Buses to Jerusalem and Haifa leave the airport every 30 minutes, stops are located in the central piazza of the airport opposite car park 1; tickets can be bought on board. Buses to Tel Aviv leave approximately every ten minutes and run to the central bus station. Bus services also run to the central railway station and to the main hotels along the seafront in Tel Aviv. Taxis are located near the airport reception hall. Shared taxi services are also available between the airport and Jerusalem, at a fixed rate per passenger. The hotel s shuttle service is available 24 hours a day and can be booked at reception.
