L'HOTEL:
Location. The modern Towers Rotana Hotel is located in central Dubai, United Arab Emirates, opposite the World Trade Centre and Exhibition Halls. The Wild Wadi Resort, gold souks and spice market are within eight kilometres. Dubai International Airport is 10 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The 30-storey Towers Rotana Hotel has a 24-hour front desk with concierge service and currency exchange. There is a hair salon and gift shop on site. Complimentary valet parking is provided.
Boasting the city's biggest wine cellar, Teatro restaurant serves a range of international dishes, from curries to sushi and Latin American cuisine. Decorated in wood and marble, Gardinia restaurant offers a la carte and buffet dining, with themed evenings five nights a week. For informal dining, Wraps serves sandwiches and light meals throughout the day. The Long Bar, which claims to be the longest bar in the Middle East, is open for cocktails, beers and bar food until late.
The hotel has a business centre. Small groups can be accommodated in the meeting rooms. High-speed Internet access is available (surcharge).
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and sauna. Beauty treatments are also available (surcharge).
Please note: The hotel will be undertaking annual pool maintenance between the 22nd September 2007 and the 1st October 2007. During this time, the hotel will offer complimentary transportation to its sister hotel, Al Murooj Rotana, where guests will be able to use the pool.
Guestrooms. The hotel's 360 air- conditioned guestrooms are decorated in rich colour schemes. All rooms feature cable television, high-speed Internet connection(surcharge), minibars and safes. Bathrooms have bath/shower combinations.
Renovation notice: Please note that from the 1st July until the 30th September 2008 the hotel w ill be carrying out refurbishment work to the Club Rotana lounge and to some of the Club Rotana floors. From Dubai International Airport (DXB): Distance to Towers Rotana Hotel is 10 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Pre-paid taxis can be found at Terminal 1's Arrivals hall, and the fare to the city centre is approximately 40 AED. Limousines can be hired in the Arrivals hall. Buses run to the city centre every 10 minutes from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Bus stations are located opposite Terminals 1 and 2. Buses 44, 33, 15, 11, and 4 run to the city centre from Terminal 1, passing near to most major hotels. Bus number 2 runs to the city centre from Terminal 2, also passing near to most major hotels. Buses depart approximately every 20-30 minutes, and a single ticket costs 2 AED. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The Towers Rotana Hotel is on Sheikh Zayed Road. Public buses offer a reasonable service between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Buses travel from Bur Dubai station, on Al-Ghubaiba road, and Deira bus station, near the gold souk. Buses have separate seated sections for women and men, with women typically sitting near the front. Travellers should pay the correct fare to the driver. In older parts of Dubai, small wooden motorboats cross over Dubai Creek between early morning and midnight. Air-conditioned taxis are efficient, cheap and safe, and can be pre-booked by telephone or hailed in the street. The hotel has complimentary valet parking.
