Location. Rising above El Palmar Beach, the Barcelo IxtapaBeach Resort All Inclusive is located in Ixtapa, Mexico, six kilometers from the charming village of Zihuatanejo.
Hotel Features. On- site restaurants include the Veranda, an informal venue where international dishes are served. Don Quijote is a specialty restaurant where gourmet Spanish cuisine is prepared within its elegant surroundings. Swim-up and poolside bars offer convenience amid the outdoor pool's lively atmosphere. Hotel staff offers fax and photocopying services, and the 500-person multi-function room can be divided into four separate spaces. Dial-up Internet access is available in public areas. Other recreational offerings include pool games and contests, three tennis courts and a children's play area. An on-site dive shop teaches scuba diving and offers certification. The children's club for youngsters aged 5-12 offers supervised indoor and outdoor activities, and nightly live performances of Mexican and international music provides entertainment for all.
Guestrooms. This hotel features 390 guestrooms. Room décor includes light-toned, tropical furnishings, tile floors, pastel walls with brightly hued accent walls and fabric choices reminiscent of the sand and sea. All accommodations offer furnished balconies or patios. Most rooms provide partial sea views and all rooms contain satellite television, telephones, mini-bars and in-room safes. En-suite bathrooms consist of tub/shower combinations. Dial-up Internet access is available for a fee.
Expert Tip. This resort is located one kilometer from a Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed course, or avid golfers may play the Robert Von Hagge course that is positioned five kilometers from the hotel.
