Located 100 kilometres north-west of Sharm el Sheikh, the Hilton Dahab is a bungalow resort complex with a private beach, set amid natural lagoons in landscaped grounds by the shores of the Red Sea. The 163 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites extend to terraces with views of the mountains, the sea or the lagoons, and include individual parking spaces, satellite television, direct- dial phones with voicemail, and minibars.
The resort is set in grounds landscaped with shallow salt-water lakes and features a large open-air swimming pool complete with a terrace overlooking the Red Sea. The grounds adjoin the resort's private beach, where guests can explore the wonders of the deep on snorkelling excursions, try their hand at water skiing, windsurfing and kayaking or relax with a drink from the beach bar. The onsite scuba-diving centre offers courses ranging from introductory classes to instructor training. The resort also offers a putting green and facilities for tennis and table tennis. The three onsite restaurants offer a choice of freshly caught local seafood, themed buffets or traditional Italian fare. In the evenings, guests can sip drinks and watch the sunset from the terrace of the Coconut bar, and Turkish coffee and shisha pipes are offered in the Windjammer bar. Younger guests will enjoy playing games in the kids' club, and a playground and children's pool are provided on site. Babysitting services and children's menus are also available. Guests wishing to explore the area will find the dramatic geological landscape of the Coloured Canyon 80 kilometres from the hotel, and Mount Sinai, or Moses Mountain, is 110 kilometres away. Sharm el Sheikh International Airport is 97 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
